ABOUT US
Jonathan & Shanna Springer are lifelong Alaskans who were born and raised in rural communities and small fishing towns throughout Alaska. Their lives have been shaped by faith, family, hard work, adventure, and a deep commitment to serving others.
Together, they have owned and managed construction businesses for many years while homeschooling their four children since 2015. Throughout their years in Alaska, Jonathan & Shanna were actively involved in their local church and homeschool community, volunteering their time, mentoring young people, coaching, teaching, and helping create opportunities for families to learn and grow together.
Shanna has more than a decade of experience homeschooling and teaching students in a variety of subjects, including history, science, literature, language arts, and hands-on enrichment. She has also helped build and lead Christian homeschool communities, coordinated educational programs and field trips, served as a 4-H leader, and is a certified archery instructor. Jonathan & Shanna have coached FIRST® LEGO® League together since 2019, helping students develop skills in robotics, engineering, problem-solving, teamwork, leadership, and competition.
In 2024, the Springer family relocated from Alaska to Naples, Florida, where they have been establishing new roots while continuing their construction businesses in both Alaska and Southwest Florida.
Through Oak & Arrow Academy, Jonathan & Shanna are picking up where they left off in Alaska—investing in homeschool families and creating meaningful opportunities for children to learn, explore, build relationships, and grow in their faith. Their desire is to create a Christ-centered learning community where families are supported, children are mentored, and education extends beyond the classroom through hands-on learning, nature, history, science, STEM, outdoor education, and real-world experiences.
Above all, Jonathan & Shanna share a heart for strengthening families, serving their community, and encouraging the next generation to know God, discover their gifts, and use them with purpose.
